Chasing Eva

Sledding at Mountain Baker and horses!

We spent the day with wonderful friends up at Mt. Baker sledding. IT WAS SO FUN! Caleb is so trusting and so flexible and adventurous. He only cried once and spent most of his time soaking in the sights and staring in amazement. He was so cute when going down on the inner tube with me, looking up with wide eyes` and then once we were down at the bottom and stopped he would flash me a little grin. He wasn't cold as you can see, thanks to our doula friend Jen Q, there were many layers to be had! He played with baby Estelle and big girl Lucy.
Yes those are orange snow pants....with rainbow suspenders attached.
We stopped in Deming on the way to borrow some snow gear and fed some horses and ducks and  a dog! So fun, as Caleb has started doing the horse sound! Even though one bit me, the mean one i hear, Caleb enjoyed himself.
We were all worn out by the afternoon, and i'm glad i had the crock pot of food going since the am!

Happy birthday Daddy

We celebrated Matthew's birthday in style! We had dinner at Red Robin where he managed to get the free dessert with our having to suffer through being sung to! I bet our waitress got a nice tip!

Then we came back to the Baronsons and played a new "board" game on Matthew's new (birthday/Christmas gift:) IPad.

Fun times for all. Caleb stayed up till 10 pm with us partying hard, as Matthew welcomed in his 28th year with fun and friends. Despite all the warnings from baby sleeping specialists against our strategy to tire him out so he sleeps long and hard, IT WORKED and he slept the whole night through!!!! Hooray because we needed our energy for sledding at Mt. Baker the next morning!

Unpacking

Caleb has discover the world of "Baron Upstairs."  A magical play land of cars and toys and trains and blocks. He enjoys nothing more than climbing the stairs to this beautiful world where kids roam free and dreams come true. He loves Eva's bed which is small enough that he can climb onto it, and it's filled with lots of beany Babies. What could be better.

Set the radio alarm

One of the first things Caleb does in the morning is go over to Matthews side of the bed and push the buttons on his alarm clock to set the radio alarm.
