Making Baby Food!

Blending Caleb's food in Amy's kitchen! I love making homemade, organic local baby food. Caleb is now eating: Sweet potato, squash, carrots, avocado, peas, broccoli, peaches, prunes, banana & rice cereal! I have never fed him to full capacity, because he always seems to want more! He gets very impatient when he knows that I'm warming up the food. and he squawks when i have to go around the corner to use the microwave.

After pureeing the prunes in the blender I put them in the ice cube trays to freeze, in the perfect portion sizes, and then once they are frozen i transfer them to a freezer bag and store them till I'm ready to defrost for a quick meal! A batch usually lasts a month or so.

A HUGE bowl of sweet potatoes, carrots, acorn squash, peas and an avocado ready to put into ice cube trays and freeze.  I steamed the first three ingredients until soft. Then blend them, and was shocked at how much it made! This will probably last into August! Good thing he likes it. (So does Emily!) The kids love to test out the "baby food"

Oh my! it was even behind his ears..HAHA. Matt graciously cleaned him up. This was the end result after the video i just posted.

Take Me Out to the Ball Game...

First Father's Day!

"They pay these guys how much to hit a ball? Wow mommy, this is a crazy world we live in!"

Mariners Game- Happy Father's Day!

I missed all the big plays in the game, until the 7th inning because Caleb would cry every time everyone would cheer. Poor guy didn't know what all the fuss was about.  In the 8th and 9th, though he got the hang of it! We beat the Philies 2-0!

Uh oh.

Now what, must try to reach it! He's a very determined little guy.

Go go Gadget hand...

Caleb is very determined to be able to pick up all three at the same time. So he bang them around, till on eventually falls on the ground. Then he'll try to get one in his mouth.  It is very fun to see his brain developing and his wheels turning. He is so smart and interactive!

Hey Eli. I thought you were supposed to be watching him! :). Caleb is mobile! Oh boy, everyone watch out.

Tasty!

Eli keeps as eye on Caleb

Caleb and Eli enjoy playing on the floor together. Caleb isn't quite sure what to do with a dog, but keeps a close eye on her.

Hmmm

Pain relief.

Caleb in his crib...

Eva is a wonderful helper. She loves to play with Caleb so I can tidy up downstairs. She keeps him busy by filling his crib with lots of toys!

Bath time with Lil Ol One Toof

Flexible Caleb

Reaching for a toy.

Friday morning LeapFrog

Caleb loves his new sister Eva. She is four, and so sweet to Caleb. Everything he does is "so cute" according to her! Were waiting for our new dishwasher to arrive while Amy is at her dog class, so Were learning how to count to 10.

Tooth!

Caleb popped his first tooth! With no fussing or obvious signs, besides excessive drooling, it just appeared on the bottom yesterday. He's had trouble sleeping at night but that has more to do with our new living arrangements. Glad that we invested in his Amber teething necklace, known for it's pain relieving qualities. I'll try to get a better picture soon.

Caleb got stuck

He can push himself backwards!
